The PB2C charger has all the features of XTAR products, including"0V reactivation" of deeply discharged cells (while charging), three-stage intelligent charging and soft-start function. It can activate over-discharged batteries, maximizing their life and durability. It also has balancing technology, when charging and discharging batteries. This prevents overcharging or over-discharging of a single cell, which also extends their life. It supports high-capacity cells (3400mAh) which give more power. It has a charging function management system. It is compatible with industrial cells (so-called without high plus). It uses a USB type C power socket.

When using the Power Bank and charger at the same time, both functions work independently at the same time and safely complete the charging processes.

The Power Bank function is fast, and with a maximum charging current of 2.1A with powerful 18650 Li-ION cells, it gives you the ability to charge 2 full cell phones or a tablet. USB output function:

• USB output allows you to charge both batteries and external devices at the same time when the power is connected.
• While the charger becomes a Power Bank, the display shows the percentage of battery/batteries discharged.
• The charger prioritizes charging devices connected to the USB output. Once the USB charging process is complete, it starts charging the cells inside it with full efficiency.
• Charging from the USB outlet is directly directed from the connected charger's power source, bypassing the use of cells, thus reducing cell consumption.

The TC/CC/CV charging algorithm used in the charger is a charging process for Li-ION cells to ensure good cell condition. It involves charging with the right current and also completing the charge at the right time. TC/CC/CV charging stages, we can divide into:

• TC stage: the initial phase of checking and reactivating a cell whose voltage has dropped below 2.9V
• CC stage: then the cell is charged with a constant current of 50mA to 500mA (depending on the connected power source).
• CV stage: then the charger switches to charging with decreasing current until the cell voltage reaches 4.2V. When the cell voltage reaches 4.2V, charging is complete and the battery is fully charged.

Reactivating discharged cells involves inserting the cell into the charger and checking the voltage. With this function, we can check each cell in the appropriate size. When a discharged cell is detected, the charger will attempt to reactivate it. Note that exceeding the minimum voltage on the cell will limit the possibility of reactivating and saving such a battery. When you leave the cell in the charger it will self-discharge. However, if the voltage on the battery drops below 3.9V for Li-ION, charging will start automatically.

An interesting and safe solution in the PB2C charger is a separately connected power supply. This prevents unnecessary heating of the charged cell. The temperature on the cell, can rise no more than 15ºC. When the set is working, the power supply itself heats up and not the charged cell. This directly affects the life of the battery.
