XTAR LC 8 is a fully compatible 8-channel intelligent charger for 1.5V lithium-ion cells. With advanced electronics, the charger can charge AA and AAA size batteries. Controlled by an MCU, the intelligent charging functions can select the appropriate charging current according to the input power, which ultimately protects both the batteries and the charger from overheating and damage. Thanks to the built-in LED, the device indicates the charging status. The special design with a hollow housing better dissipates heat, which protects the charger and the cells being charged. Powered by USB-C input, it allows you to connect to any 5V USB port (recommended 5V-3A). XTAR LC8 is a handy and functional charger for travel and home use. Included with the XTAR LC8 charger, we receive the corresponding USB-C cable. We can select the corresponding USB power adapter here. Li-ION 1.5V batteries are available here.

The charger does not charge Li-ION 3.6V/ 3.7V batteries.
The TC/CC/CV charging algorithm used in the charger is a charging process for Li-ION cells to ensure the good condition of the cell. It involves charging with the right current and also completing the charge at the right time. TC/CC/CV charging stages, we can divide into:
- TC stage: the initial phase of checking and reactivating a cell whose voltage has dropped below 2.9V
- CC stage: then the cell is charged with a constant current of 50mA to 500mA (depending on the connected power source).
- CV stage: then the charger switches to charging with decreasing current until the cell voltage reaches 4.2V. When the cell voltage reaches 4.2V, charging is complete and the battery is fully charged
0V Reactivation of discharged cells involves inserting the cell into the charger and checking the voltage. With this function, we can check AAA/ AA size Li-ION cells. When a discharged cell is detected, the charger will attempt to reactivate it. Note that exceeding the minimum voltage on the cell will limit the possibility of reactivating and saving such a battery.
