At many vendors you can buy 18650 cells with capacities up to 6800mAh. These are capacities that are 2 times larger than what is manufacturing feasible, as we will not fit more of the substance from which the rechargeable batteries are made into the same dimension. After testing, such cells usually have capacities of 500-800mAh. We can state with all responsibility that at this moment the capacity of 3600mAh is the highest capacity obtained in laboratory conditions for 18650 size batteries.
