What distinguishes AA, AAA and other lithium batteries?
Lithium batteries, available in popular sizes such as AA and AAA, are distinguished from other battery types by their higher capacity, longer life, and preparation for efficient operation in extreme environmental conditions and a wide range of temperatures.
Lithium cells also have a very high energy density - depending on the battery model - reaching up to 270 Wh/kg. They are also characterized by a low self-discharge rate and light weight. It is worth noting that lithium batteries dedicated to industrial applications usually have a much higher capacity than alkaline or zinc-chloride and zinc-carbon batteries.
Professional lithium batteries are resistant to extreme weather conditions and can be used to power devices operating temperatures from -40°C to +60°C. This makes them an ideal choice for outdoor applications and indoor installations exposed to very low or very high temperatures.
Keep in mind that lithium batteries are disposable cells - if you are looking for rechargeable batteries, for example, choose rechargeable lithium-ion or nickel-hydride batteries available in our offer.
Applications of industrial lithium batteries
The most common use of lithium batteries is in industrial equipment, such as PLCs. Often lithium pencil batteries are also encountered in portable devices and professional electronics. Cells belonging to this product category are not uncommonly used to power office equipment, alarms and alarm sensors, meters, gas, smoke and water detectors or sirens, and even electronic toys.
